Batteries, Electronics, and More!

Batteries and other items require special disposal and recycling. For batteries in particular, the variety of metals and chemicals used to make these are not best suited for landfills where they simply corrode and leach into the soils and surrounding water systems. Proper battery disposal means the battery is separated into its parts and the sulphuric acid is collected. These components can then be recycled and turned into other batteries or items. So help the environment recharge, and recycle your batteries!

Our Recycling Center is located in the Mary Stuart Building on the University of Glasgow Garscube Campus. We will share more information about where and how to recycle your batteries soon!
