Join the Fleet

Go green, and join the Green Fleet.

Glasgow University One Health Society (GUOHS) is pleased to announce a new initiative to promote environmentally friendly travel and healthy living by providing free bikes for students to borrow on a term-by-term basis. 

​

The "Green Fleet" will be available to students who complete the following application and are selected. As we are able to get more bikes, we will be able to accept more applications. 

The first round of applications will close in a weeks time: Wed. October 27th at 5:00pm  Applications will re-open as bikes are made available. 

If you have already filled out a form but were not selected, your application will automatically roll into the next selection pool and will be given priority.

Once you have been selected, we will reach out with an email containing the following: 
- A User Contract
- A Liability Waiver
- Deposit Information
- Bike Safety Course Link 
- Details of Bike Pickup

The contract details what is expected of you as a member of the "Green Fleet" and your responsibilities as a bike user. The liability waiver acknowledges the user is responsible for their actions and care of the bike, and any accidents or injuries are not the fault of GUOHS or the University of Glasgow.

The bike is yours to use for the whole school term at no cost; however, to ensure we can cover any damages or replacements we request a 50GBP deposit that will be returned to you upon the safe return of the bike. We require all students chosen for the "Green Fleet" to attend the bike course so you can be safe on the roads and know how to properly maintain your bike.
